Bread and butter lunch, busy workday, complicated dinner, strange tv show, writing again [Tue 9]

I write this late after midnight of the same day, I'm finally caught up with the journal entries, even though to be all 'caught up' with the posts strictly speaking, there's twelve more posts I'd need to have done. No matter, something is better than nothing, and the fact that we're here is an achievement.

I got up at 7, kept snoozing until 7.40 because felt sleepy and also the dream was so goddamn nice. I don't get my body, until a few short weeks ago I was having trouble sleeping at night and in the morning, and now I just want to sleep all the time, but my mind doesn't want to go to bed, strange.

Work started early too, a couple of meetings, but mostly free to work on the project that's due later this week. A little stress, lots of coordination with coworkers from Singapore. I've lowered my goals, instead of the code make it to production or higher environments, we'll have those on our machines, but that's a start.

For lunch I had my amazing new bread from When Pigs Fly, and amazing butter from Maine. Nothing too nutritious or good, but filling and tasty as heck.

One hour of very happy EAP with the guide, great conversations happening, it's going to be a pity when we can't go back to this since I'll be traveling for the coming weeks and months.

After work I wanted to walk out, but figured I'd do some more work. Got hungry and started making food: sauteed green beans, quinoa with fried onions, kimchi and tahini, and furikake. It was pretty good, though too much sugar, and sambal olek was too spicy, so had to throw out some of the food. Filling but too much, unncessary wastage there.

Watched a bit of a strange show with Tory Bellusci and the short guy from Top Gear with their new Amazon show. I want to write a post on it but feel bad, it's so strange, it's confusing, weird. They clearly don't know what they want to do with a show, so they seem to have thrown everything together to see what sticks.

In the evening, worked for a little bit, so I could get my singapore worker working again, but there was a blocker with me not being able to compile my code. So I paused on that work, gave myself a breather, watched several episodes and videos of taskmaster.

At around 11, got bored with everything, decided that I'd lazed around enough for the past week and I need to write a lot, I can cover up the laziness of the last week in about three days. Which is a great achievement over the past, but it's not something bragworthy, as the greatest strength is in being able to maintain a schedule and live up to it consistently.

It's 1.15 now, I"m closing this out at only 12 posts behind, we'll be covered soon.

Goodnight!
