Six things I want to do in the journey ahead

The journey is a literal travel journey, not really going out and about but moving across various large cities over the course of several months. Meet friends I haven't seen in a longg time. That's the idea. Here's the top ten things I plan on doing in the trip ahead.

  1. Eat out like a mofo. The positive rates have gone down, people are more careful, the protocols have improved. Also we're all so tired yow, I haven't seen a cute face in real life in a year, and listening to people talk and have fun is something I dearly miss. I don't want to be too careless still I'm comfortable with eating inside with ease.

  2. Flirt like a -- don't want to repeat myself with the 'mofo', but that's the direction I want to be going. Of course it is a known fact, published here and in international newspapers over ten years ago, that I can't flirt. But I can try, and try I shall. If that means taking people out on dates, that's what I'll have to do.

  3. Stay within my schedule, and live by the rules I set for myself. I've often misinterpreted my work-travels as vacations and tended to go off-road just because I don't feel like getting my shit together. This will be different, things will be so great, since I want to ground myself to something as everything else around me changes, I'll relish the moment in the future.

  4. Actually travel travel and see things in the cities and places I'm at. Because by now I've been working remotely for exactly a year at this point, I've figured out the lay of the land, how it feels and what needs to be done to get myself to order. So I will go explore the cities and neighborhoods I'm living in, as a part of my walks, and because they're fun.

  5. Cook more, and eat regularly, and impress upon my diet. In the past I've had had this bad habit of sort of leaning on the hosts for meal planning and leadership on cooking. There's no real reason that should be the case, I'll start taking care of my hunger by myself.

  6. Live in as many places as I possibly can. In Seattle for example, I've already figured out three different living situations, possibly a few more, things are going to get exciting, I can already tell.
