Delhi Belly, a movie review

It is an intense, fast-paced, shockingly violent comedy that I couldn't peel my eyes off of. Also an inspiration to seemingly every movie of the genre that's been made in the ten years since it was released, including Andhadhun and Ludo. The stakes just keep on increasing, the troubles only escalate, there is not a single scene where the characters can breathe a sigh of relief and relax. And if there is one, it's only a setup before the next rounds of horrific imagery. In the end everything is good, our protagonists are safe sound and better than the movie began. Possibly a few of the minor protagonists may have died during the course of the movie, but you would have figured that out quite easily.

There's also young children involved for some reason. Not this movie, but these sort of movies generally..

Good songs, good acting, tight pacing, great video, loved loved the actress, some parts were too much, some parts were overly genre-conscious, but otherwise a solid watch.

Highly recommend you watch it.

The title 'Delhi Belly' is in reference to the bellyache and related stomach ailments that torture one of our protagonists throughout the movie, it is the primary driver behind most of the cause

Some choices are strange confusing confounding even, such as why three decent young professionals who surely can't be that poor to be living in an apartment that is falling apart -- yes that is a major plot point -- with no water or toilet paper, sharing a large...room...studio without the kitchen. Where do they eat, what do they eat? Is this a performance art project on their side? What's the backstory behind that. Or was it just to set the story up, because in that case, they could've thrown some excuse or another.

Other complaints are minor.

Just watch it.
