Cookie trouble

I can't help eating cookies
My friends left a lot of cookies at my place
I didn't want to eat them
But I did
They make me sick
and mess my day up
and also my week
but it doesn't matter
because I'll keep eating
without a feeling
as I'm addicted
to sugar.
To save myself
I even threw away the box
in the trash, full of socks
Yet this morning
I snuck in, next to my trash
opened the box of cookies
and ate one,
just like this.
And then so very disgusted,
I was,
That I had to take the individual bits
out of the box
and throw them away
into nothingness,
so the weakness
wouldn't
be
repeated.
A patient of diabetes
yet with a weakness
for sweet sweet Costco cookies,
oh what a terrible way to be
god forbid!
