My current situation is not completely sustainable, alas

Here's the thing: it is not sustainable for somebody to sustain themselves in the situation I find myself in. Which is, paying Mass. income tax of almost seven percent (Wa. income tax is 0), and Washington+Seattle sex tax at almost eleven percent (which is at 6 percent more or less). It's the greater amount of both worlds. Also, Seattle is a much more expensive region, groceries and eating-out-wise, not to mention the housing situation is not anywhere as approachable as I'd hoped when I was in Boston. And you're competing with the employees of Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon, Google, Apple, etcetera. I can't compete in the PNW with my East Coast salaries. Which means something has to give. Either I need to move back east, or find out a situation that is more considerate of my living situation.

So move to the PNW is being evaluated and seriously considered. There are limitations, some very serious limitations, including the visa situation, the current work permit situation, how tight and competitive it is to find a job around here, and the fact that I have very few leads. But something has to change,  circumstances cannot remain as they stand.

Fingers crossed, really hope things a-work out.
