The easy climb up the yoga culture ladder

It appears that yoga people, at least those at UW, are a lot more accepting and open-minded than one would imagine. It's lovely, I just showed up in the class, they said hi, what's your name blah blah, we introduced ourselves, and bam, the thing began. Good stuff. Some of the poses are quite hard as I've not been focusing on proper balance in the past, but for the most part they are on the relaxing and chill side. To put it differently, this is certainly not enough as a complete workout as I hoped and imagined, it's quite clearly meant as an addition to strength-building and stamina improvement. So now my standards have risen, and we need to work towards becoming stronger and working harder for longer. It's a slow process, obviously, and we'll eventually get there, but now I have a really good context for where one's journey for better physical fitness starts. Need to do more pushups and situps etc, and more jogging, even if just for ten minutes or so...
