The opposite of anxiety is mostly confidence and trust in oneself and the process it turns out

I've reviewed and discussed the book Learning to Learn and the Navigation of moods, and discussed anxiety issues hindering my progress and motivation. Well I never connected the dots until quite recently, and hadn't realized that moods could have an 'opposite', that you can try to transform a mood undesired at the moment into.

For example, the opposite of anxiety is pretty much confidence and trust in the whole thing specially oneself. The reason one feels the fear of doing something new is because one is not confident one can execute it well, on time, or properly. So forth. That understanding is almost never founded on facts, and more on 'vibes' and mood unrelated to what might be the ground reality. If one can learn to change the feeling of anxiety into greater confidence, trust and positive vision of the future, then the anxiety goes away!

So what might we do to do that? Funnily enough, savers. Every day, early in the morning and potentially once again later in the day. Remind yourself of the awesome things you have done, have a clear vision of what you will accomplish, stay silent and focus on your breath, read write exercise. Doing these things give one confidence in one's mind, body and spirit. They give one trust that the future is going to be alright, that one will successfully navigate through it. And that takes away the anxiety.

I wrote several years ago in these pages about how I might want to meditate before doing any major activity, including writing or working. I was not clear about the clear immediate outcomes, but assumed it would hold value. And now I understand that in addition to the long-term benefits, the short term value of meditation is great as well.

This is a work in progress, I'll keep iterating and getting better.
