It finally rained in Seattle, huzzah!

On the fourth day of August in our glorious often wet and gloomy City of Seattle, the people rejoiced at the sight of gloomy weather and rain, for it had not rained for months and months, and the temperatures had reached to unprecedented levels of sustained heat for weeks and weeks. It was looking like there was no end to the boiling grilling heat that made it hard to leave one's abode in peace and serenity during the day, and even in the evenings it was a challenge to go out and challenge the uhh weather.

The rain has definitely cooled the surroundings, the days are also shorter now, instead of waiting for the goddamn sun to set at 10, it's now going down at half past eight, and by nine/nine-thirty it's actually quite dark and gloomy, like it should goddamn be so those of us who need to sleep early can sleep in peace without worrying about what we might be missing out or being disturbed by the light in general.

It's quite wild really, to be eager for terrible cloudy cool weather and the annoying rain and drizzle but here we are, and I'm not complaining. I realize things will go the other way soon enough and very soon I'll be wishing and praying the gods for just a little bit more of the glorious glorious powerful sun, just a little more of that life-preserving heat, but for now, it's going to be the perfect month or two. I'm most definitely making the most of it by spending as much as I can outside the house.
